I found this on A Healthy Slice of Life’s blog and thought is was interesting!
Oklahoma’s food is fried okra! My sister-in-law’s mother grows okra and fries it herself. It’s crazy good!
I believe you should live each day as if it is your last, which is why I don’t have any clean laundry because, come on, who wants to wash clothes on the last day of their life?

This is what happens when you have nothing to do at home. You get creative.
A drawing of us walking in the snow…
Oh! I am so creative… He! He!
Today was a snow day for pretty much all of Oklahoma! For an outing, we took the dogs around the block. We had to bundle up! I had on seven layers!
“But, I can’t put my arms down!!”
Dogs had fun playing, but were shivering when we got inside.
My boyfriend even had some ice frozen in his beard… You can sort of tell…
I’m always a little late about doing things, but I have finally come up with my New Year’s Resolutions! Woo hoo!
I am going to try my hardest to do and follow through with the following:
1. Take my multi-vitamin everyday.
I hate taking those horse pills, and I hate taking 10-12 pills daily. I really hate swallowing pills. For some reason, I never got the hang of it. So, I never have really taken my daily vitamin on a regular basis. But… One A Day has these Gummies that I can easily take everyday! Woo hoo! I know… I am a child.
2. Run a 5K.
I have downloaded the Couch to 5k to my iPhone. I just wish it was 15 degrees outside.
Brittany from A Healthy Slice of Life did the Couch to 5K last year and is going to do the Couch to 10K this year. She inspired me because I will probably wog (walk/jog) a lot too. I am a really slow jogger. In fact, you probably walk faster than I jog.
3. Floss daily.
I know… It’s gross that I don’t floss everyday, but I am going to change that and have fantastic teeth!
That’s all I have for now, but I’m sure I will make some new resolutions as the year goes on!
Blah! This weekend was not amazing… I think I got food poisoning. It was not pretty. My boyfriend thinks its was probably from Souper! Salad! 2011 has not been a highlight! It can only get better from here… Right??
Finally! I am posting about Christmas. Better late than never they say!
I spent some time with my old sorority sisters!
Of course, we had to have an Irish Car Bomb for old time sake! One of my friend’s failed miserably and let the drink curdle. Ugh!
I spent plenty of time with the family. My mom and niece are making some chocolate candies!
Of course, this involved some spoon licking!
Then, my nephew got a hold of the camera and paparazzi’ed everyone!
My nephews and niece have got to be the cutest kids!!
There was also time for a Christmas Eve party!
I’m not sure what they are doing…. my friends are weird, but I love them.
The year has not gotten off to an incredible start. New Year’s Eve was spent with my wonderful friends… who stole all my stuff including coat, purse and cell phone and left me for dead at the bar. My boyfriend and I went to the bathroom, came back and everyone had left… with our stuff. Apparently, they thought they were “protecting” it. Typical.
I did have a nice lunch with my parents, my boyfriend and his parents on New Year’s Day. Things seemed to be looking up. Then, Sunday I woke up with a sore throat. I slept all day at my parent’s house and drove home. Monday, I woke up with a fever and cold sweats. Oh Boy! I got strep throat! This was most likely caused by my friends stealing my coat and making me find them wandering the street with no phone or coat. I know… my friends are awesome!
I was sick for a few days and was looking forward to watching the new How I Met Your Mother. It’s always hilarious and uplifting! Well… apparently the writers thought the viewers needed a dose of reality in the new year as Marshall’s dad dies. awesome…
So, I started out the New Year lost, sick and crying… Woo hoo! It can only get better… Right?
Happy New Year!
